A Path to Oxford Driven by Passion and Purpose
All Saints' College is proud to celebrate Shev Dias Abeyagunawardene (Class of 2019) on his selection as a 2026 Rhodes Scholar, one of the world's most prestigious and competitive international scholarship programs.
Awarded to individuals who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, leadership, service and character, the Rhodes Scholarship will provide Shev with the opportunity to pursue further study at the University of Oxford.
Since graduating from All Saints' College, Shev has completed a Doctor of Medicine at The University of Western Australia, while building an impressive record of achievement across research, leadership and community service. His contributions to orthopaedic research, involvement in university and state medical organisations, and participation in ultimate frisbee at an international level reflect both his diverse talents and commitment to excellence.
Driven by a passion for addressing musculoskeletal disease and improving access to surgical care, Shev has focused his academic and professional pursuits on creating meaningful improvements in healthcare outcomes.
At Oxford, he plans to further develop his clinical and research expertise while exploring innovative approaches to tackling some of the world's most significant health challenges. His dedication to learning, leadership and service exemplifies the values of the Rhodes Scholarship and the impact young leaders can have within their communities and beyond.
We congratulate Shev on this outstanding achievement and look forward to following the next stage of his journey as he continues to make a positive difference in the field of medicine and global health.
