Christopher Ivison has always been driven by a desire to combine innovation with impact. After graduating from All Saints’ College in 2018, he completed a double degree in Mechatronic Engineering and Computer Science. During his honours year, he developed a passion for rehabilitative technologies while working on devices designed to support children recovering from hand injuries, an experience that helped shape the direction of his career.

He now works at ArthroLase, a Perth-based medical device startup focused on developing robotic systems for orthopaedic surgery using advanced laser technology. His role involves a dynamic blend of software development, hardware design and laser integration, allowing him to work across multiple technical disciplines. In an added connection to his school years, Christopher is collaborating with fellow Old Saints Jayden White-Smith (Class of 2016) and Nick Dumas (Class of 2014).

Christopher attributes much of his learning mindset to his time at ASC, particularly under the leadership of Principal Belinda Provis. The concept of “Flearning” - finding growth through failure - continues to influence his approach to setbacks and reflection. He recognises the significant and lasting impact her leadership had on his education, along with that of many others.

Beyond his professional work, Christopher maintains a highly active and well-rounded lifestyle. He has completed several marathons and successfully finished the Busselton Ironman in December 2024. He dedicates time to studying Chinese, playing the piano, and training at the gym, while also volunteering as a crisis supporter with Lifeline - an experience he finds both valuable and fulfilling.

Among his fondest memories from school is his time in the Basketball Program. The camaraderie with teammates before and after practice played a key role in building lifelong friendships and sparked his ongoing passion for staying active and engaged in the community.

From his early days at ASC to his current role at the forefront of medical robotics, Christopher Ivison continues to lead with curiosity, commitment and a strong sense of purpose.

Well done Christopher, we can’t wait to see where your journey takes you next!
