Julie Reany (née Lehman), Sarah Carne, Melanie Hay and Rebecca Taseff (née Harrison) who all graduated from All Saints’ College in 1989, recently came together for a special cause, proving that enduring friendship can make a lasting difference in the community.

Led by Julie, the friends joined forces to support Share the Dignity’s “It’s in the Bag” campaign. This national initiative collects handbags filled with essential items and thoughtful gifts for women and girls experiencing hardship.

The ladies set themselves the ambitious goal of packing at least 100 bags, each filled with toiletries, hygiene products and small luxuries to help women feel valued and supported.

Melanie and Rebecca both serve on the Board of Zonta House Refuge Association, an organisation that supports women escaping family and domestic violence. Some of the bags were donated directly to Zonta House to assist the women they care for.

The packing event took place on Saturday 25 October in Shenton Park, working together, they turned a simple act of giving into a joyful celebration of community and compassion.

The day was more than just a charitable initiative, it was a celebration of friendship, combined with community spirit, demonstrating how our alumni’s lifelong connections continue to create positive change in the lives of others.

Photos captured the heartwarming story of kindness, collaboration and an enduring 40 year friendship.

Well done ladies, we are incredibly proud of you!
